On May 18, 2023, Singapore’s Minister for Manpower and Second Minister for Trade & Industry Dr Tan See Leng announced the launch of the Hotel Jobs Transformation Map. The guide addresses three major transformations that the hotel industry needs to tackle: the role of technology as a driver of growth, the emphasis on sustainability, and the changing expectations of the workforce and employees, which have led to intensified talent competition.
Speaking at the launch of the JTM, Manpower Minister Tan See Leng said the STB estimates visitor arrivals in Singapore in 2023 will reach about 12 million to 14 million, and tourism receipts will climb to around $18 billion to $21 billion.
