CorpPass Account

From 25 March 2017, all Singaporean businesses will be required to use the new corporate digital identity, CorpPass, to conduct relevant online business with the Accounting and Corporate Regulatory Authority of Singapore (ACRA). CorpPass aims to replace Singpass as the platform for business entities to conduct business. By separating the login IDs used for corporate and personal transactions, CorpPass can better protect the privacy of companies’ employees and provide better protection for sensitive business information.

Transitional Period

Prior to 31 December 2017, businesses could use SingPass to conduct business on the Accounting and Corporate Regulatory Authority of Singapore (ACRA) website. From 1 January 2018 onwards, they may only do so using a CorpPass account.

Exceptions to the rule are persons appointed by entities that are not registered with ACRA (e.g. persons applying to register a Singapore business or company for the first time, qualified registered individuals applying for the first time, chartered accountants or approved liquidators). Such persons may use SingPass to conduct online business with ACRA regardless of time constraints until they have a UEN registration number. Once such persons have a UEN registration number, they will need a CorpPass account to transact online business with SACC ACRA.

Authorized personnel associated with multiple entities

You can conduct business on behalf of an affiliated entity on the Accounting and Corporate Regulatory Authority website by logging into BizFile + or BizFinx using the CorpPass ID of any affiliated company.

Corporate Service Providers

RFAs (Registered Filing Agents) are required to register CorpPass and assign CorpPass accounts to their Registered Qualified Individuals (RQI) and designated staff to transact business with the Accounting and Corporate Regulatory Authority of Singapore (ACRA) on behalf of their clients.

Group Companies

Singapore Holding Group companies are required to register for CorpPass and allocate CorpPass accounts to the Group Secretary and designated staff in order to transact business on the Accounting and Corporate Regulatory Authority of Singapore website through Bizfile + for the Group and Group subsidiaries.

Foreign Entities

Please note that while foreign entities (e.g. companies registered overseas) will be able to apply for CorpPass at a later date, they will not be able to use their CorpPass accounts to access ACRA’s digital services. Only branches of foreign companies registered with ACRA will be able to access ACRA’s digital services such as BizFile + and BizFinx. access will be verified by providing the foreign company’s National Registration Identity Card (NRIC) number or Foreign Identity Card (FIN) number.
