2020-03-19ACRA, Singapore’s Accounting and Corporate Regulatory Authority, recently issued an updated requirement! After January 1, 2018, Singapore companies need to use CorpPass to log in to the Singapore Accounting and Corporate Regulatory Authority website for any transactions, and Singpass will no longer be allowed to use as a corporate identity. Editor Fu Zhilin specially shared this dry goods with everyone ~ let’s take a look together!
From March 25, 2017, all Singapore companies will need to use the new corporate digital identity CorpPass to conduct related online business with ACRA , the Singapore Accounting and Corporate Regulatory Authority . The launch of CorpPass is intended to replace the current status of Singapore business entities still using SingPass for business. By separating the login IDs used for corporate and personal affairs, CorpPass can better protect the personal privacy of Singapore company employees, while providing better confidentiality protection for the company’s sensitive business information.
If your company does not yet have a CorpPass ID, please visit www.corppass.gov.sg to apply.
Transition
Until December 31, 2017, Singapore enterprises can continue to use SingPass to conduct business on the Singapore Accounting and Corporate Regulatory Authority website. From January 1, 2018, Singapore corporate entities can only conduct any online business with ACRA through the CorpPass account.
Except for appointments of entities not registered with the Singapore Accounting and Corporate Regulatory Authority (for example, a person applying for registration of a Singapore business or company for the first time, a qualified registered individual applying for the first application, a certified public accountant or an approved liquidator). Such individuals can use SingPass to conduct online business with ACRA in Singapore regardless of time limit until they have a UEN registration number. When such a person has a UEN registration number, they need to pass a CorpPass account in order to conduct online business on the Singapore Accounting and Corporate Regulatory Authority ACRA.

The Singapore government urges businesses that have not yet registered to register before the end of the year and not to wait until the last minute.
